Tegg Notes is provided by Tegg Studio (Shenzhen Tegg Studio Technology Co., Ltd.), named 深圳市特格造物科技有限公司 in Chinese. It is a Markdown reading, editing and file organization app. This policy explains information handling by the app, website and related support channels.
The app and developer servers
Reading, editing, search and Markdown rendering take place on your device. Tegg Notes does not send notes, file contents, search history, usage activity, device identifiers or in-app purchase records to developer servers. It has no developer-operated document or entitlement backend. No Tegg account is required, and the app includes no ads, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics SDKs or developer-operated AI service.
Apple may process App Store downloads, system diagnostics, or crash information under your system settings and its privacy policy. These system services are separate from the app’s own data handling.
Documents and local storage
Reading, editing, and search take place on your device. The app accesses files and folders you select or authorize, and stores settings, document references, workspace state, and data used for local document features on the device. The bundled rendering tools do not need to send documents to an online service.
You can manage your documents using the app and system file tools. Removing the app does not automatically delete original files in external folders or cloud storage. The operating system may remove the app container and local recovery data on uninstall; save or export anything you need first.
iCloud and synchronized folders you choose
If you choose the app’s iCloud file storage, Apple’s system services store or synchronize documents in your iCloud account, subject to system settings, Apple’s terms and privacy policy, and service availability. The developer does not access those documents through a developer-operated server. Free reading, Source editing, saving and recovery do not require iCloud.
Other file providers and synchronized folders process files under their own policies. Apple’s and those providers’ system services are separate from the app’s own data handling.
Apple in-app purchases and entitlements
Apple’s App Store and StoreKit process Live Edit purchases, subscriptions, redemption and restoration. Apple handles Apple Account and payment information under its policies. Tegg Notes does not receive your card or bank account details.
On your device, the app reads Apple’s verified product and transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, refunds or revocations, and renewal status to deliver purchased features, restore purchases and handle subscription lifecycles. It does not upload these records to developer servers or create a separate Tegg user or trial account.
External links, the website, and voluntary support
When you choose to open an external link, your browser or another app accesses the destination service. Website hosting providers may process IP addresses, request information, and ordinary access logs to serve pages and maintain security. The statement that the app does not collect data does not mean external websites have no access logs.
Voluntary support on the website takes place outside the app and does not unlock app features. If you support development through WeChat or Alipay, the payment provider processes the transaction under its own policy. The recipient may receive the amount, time, transaction identifier, and payer display information supplied by that platform. These records are not linked to your in-app notes or usage activity.
Voluntary contact and retention
The company manages support emails. If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to provide. We use them to reply, resolve your request, and keep necessary records. Payment records can be accessed through the payment platform. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Contact records are retained for the period needed to handle the request. Payment records may need to be retained to meet applicable financial or legal obligations. You may contact the company to request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided, except records that must be retained by law. You manage the app’s local files yourself.
